Since updating to ios 10.0.02 iMessage will not work at all. Simply fails to even boot up...
Have tried;
Rebooting phone,
resetting all settings,
restoring from an earlier backup...
everything.
Anyone else in this situation?
iMessage on imac and Macbook all working fine...

I am having the same problem. I've tried re-setting my phone and going through the main trouble re-sets but I can't seem to get the phone to stay "up and running".
So far no solutions...
Two step verification means I can't even log in to many apps / email / social media as the code is sent via text.
Apple fail so far...
